Strengths,

Our point of difference

NZ Owned and Operated

Proximity to our events allows flexibility and on the ground response. All expenses are injected into the local and domestic economy whether they are related to services, products or personnel.

Local Stakeholders

The complexity of Events means that a delicate balance between the community needs and wants, cultural sensitivities, local council and venue requirements as well as sponsor and commercial interests are considered.

SMC understands the necessity to include and involve key people at a local level in order to deliver an event that has popularity and longevity locally.

Respectful of Traditions, History and Community

In early 2011 our role as communication advisors to the Fonterra Co-operative Group included the tendering of a major project to run seven simultaneous large-scale community engagement events up and down the country, time to coincide with Fonterra’s 10th anniversary – on the day immediately following the Rugby World up final.

SMC demonstrated a deep understanding and high degree of cultural awareness in developing a professional programme of which Fonterra could feel proud.

We have subsequently worked on a number of projects with SMC and have always been impressed with the manner in which SMC Events have calmly and professionally delivered to and beyond the expectation of our brief.

We would not hesitate to recommend SMC Events as a company that has the ability to produce events not only to meet the desire objectives but specialising in events that achieve a true community feel and rich participation of local people.Piet de Jong, Baldwin Boyle Group Ltd
